Cranial remolding care
Caring for your child’s tomorrow—today.
One out of every 300 births results in a baby born with the plagiocephaly–torticollis deformation sequence. Positional plagiocephaly can involve flattening on one side of the head, forward movement of the ear on that side and prominence of the forehead.
Cranial remolding helmets are designed to gently guide your baby’s head growth. At O&P Clinics of Colorado, we provide tailored helmet therapy focused on comfort, safety and effective care throughout treatment.
Insurance and coverage supportWe accept all major insurances. We also work with the VA.

The STARband approach
Early, precise care can support better cranial development.
Pediatric cranial remolding helmets target plagiocephaly and brachycephaly in infants, with early intervention emphasized for effective correction.
We exclusively use Orthomerica’s STARband system—an FDA-approved solution that completes treatment for nearly all plagiocephaly patients. With one headband, costs are reduced compared with multiple-headband approaches used by other providers.

Cranial orthosis options
Custom options for different head-shape needs.
Your practitioner will determine the appropriate design based on your baby’s age, head shape and clinical needs.

STARband™ Cranial Remolding Orthosis
A custom cranial remolding orthosis for deformational plagiocephaly, brachycephaly and other head-shape differences in infants 3–18 months old. STARband was the first FDA-cleared cranial orthosis available to orthotists for use in their practices.

STARlight™ Side-Opening Band
A custom cranial remolding orthosis for mild deformational plagiocephalic and brachycephalic head shapes in infants 3–18 months old. Its clear plastic design allows visual inspection of total-contact areas.

STARlight™ Bivalved Orthosis
A versatile design used for infants 3–18 months old with moderate to severe head-shape deformations.

STARlight™ Cap Orthosis
A clear, lightweight, closed design for mild deformational plagiocephaly, brachycephaly and other head-shape differences in infants 3–18 months old who need a remolding or protective orthosis.
